Is it okay to use a Medium to speak to the dead?

This is to those who are interested in contacting someone who has passed, via a medium.  I want to give you some things for your consideration prior to this pursuit.  The bible is the text I’m using and everything that I’m putting here can be researched, so that you can verify it for yourself.  I’ve looked into the practice of speaking with those who’ve passed both in the bible and listening to people who claim to be able to communicate with the other side.  My intention is to give the information to make an educated choice.

The question that I had about a medium and speaking with the passed loved ones was “is this the person that is gone or something else?”.  I don’t take the word of just a person(s), I investigate on my own.  I asked what people believed about mediums and received the comment that they heard or even saw their passed loved one.  The voice was that of the loved one, along with information that only they could know.  My next question was “how?”  The bible speaks on how this occurs.  First, I had to get a frame of reference to what I was investigating.  According to God’s Word, there is a conflict going on that we don’t see but are affected by, in which there are angels and demons.  One is of God the other is a fallen angel that is under the authority of Satan and bound to Hell.  Both have an agenda.  The demon is someone that hates anything that is of God and seeks to destroy, mislead or keep in fear anyone who might be freed from these things, thus finding peace thru God.  The angel serves God in ministering to us (Hebrews 1:14).  Angels can’t and won’t receive prayer or be summoned by us.  They do show up to help when they are sent, but never to change the Word.  They always point to the God of creation (Jesus).

What is the agenda?  We are told that it’s once for a person to die and then the judgement (Hebrews 9:27).   There’s no place anywhere in the bible that allows a person to come back to speak to us, with the exception of when Samuel the prophet was used to give a warning to King Saul, (who was using a medium).  This was a curse to him and it cost him his life.  Any medium, according to the O.T. was to be executed, so if they are just talking to the dead, then why would God command their death?  Because he knows and tells us where their power comes from, demons.  (In one of the places in the Bible it says-Revelation 21:8 they will be placed in the lake of fire forever).   I found that the demons and angels are listening to us and know our voices, likes and dislikes and all the details of our lives.  So, when a medium is summoning someone that has the voice and memories of our lost loved ones, it’s actually a demon with the knowledge of that person.  This isn’t a difficult task for them.  Please understand the person may or may not have been saved, it doesn’t alter the fact that the demon can imitate any person’s voice.  According to the Word of God, when a person dies they are immediately taken to one of two judgements (Revelation 20:11-15 the unbelievers judgement or the believers judgment).  Once we die the choice to make a choice to accept or reject salvation is over.  The purpose of the demon is to mislead a person away from the truth and unsuspectingly towards what God will not tolerate.  If God was ok with talking to our lost family, then why does He specifically condemn it?  God isn’t silent on this practice, but rather gives a warning against it.  If God says to not do this then who says it’s ok?  No gray area here.  There are numerous references about this in the Bible that you can easily research.

This isn’t a harmless event, it’s a choice to believe Gods Word or ignore it.
