How do I know which church is teaching truth?

                                                                           How do you know?

We see all kinds of “Christian” churches on the T.V. and online. How do you know if they’re teaching truth? I see the false and true teachers saying they’re giving God’s Word. I listen and take note of what each says. I place their words up to the test of the bible. The answer was too easy to believe at first, but God’s Word cut thru the smoke and mirrors of the teachers giving partial truths. Here’s what I found to distinguish between those teaching God’s Word and those teaching another gospel.

1. Listen and take note of what words are heard and ones that are not. Example, when I listen to pastors that are truthful, they don’t spare feelings in pace of Truth.

2. The false teachers don’t talk about sin, the cross, the need for forgivness of those sins, the consequence of not being forgiven by God

3. The false teachers don’t speak about Hell or the Lake of Fire.

4. False teachers are embracing the culture and mixing it into the Gospel as well as brining in New Age teachings. These are in many of the pagan religions of the world.

5. False teachers don’t call sinful actions sin, as God does.

6. It’s about the money.

7. When push comes to shove asking them about the Truth of scripture, it’s like trying to nail jello to a wall.

Bottom line: Jesus warned us of these false teachers. They will allows side on making people feel good and careful to never offend sinful practices. To not talk on the parts of the bible that are unpleasent. God’s Truth never changes, but the false teacher shifts with the wind/culture. Remember Jesus used a whip to drive out the liars and theives form His Temple. Why are we timid? The answer, we don’t want to hear that sin is wrong and we like being told what we are doing is ok and good with God….well with a god….not The God. It’s a choice God’s Truth or a gods truth.
