What about ghosts and UFO’s, are they real?
A very large subject, with a little information given here. For a complete explanation go to the Bible. Or even those who have lived a life of being involved in such practices. My suggestion is a woman on YouTube by the name of Melissa Dougherty, who in my opinion is one of several experts in this area as well as the subject of New Age.
So, to answer the question………yes and no.
Let me explain, people have witnessed both UFO’s and ghosts, but they aren’t what you think they are. God tells us in His Word that we are in a battle. Two sides, God verses Evil. Both want to have your soul with them in eternity. God uses Truth and Satan uses lies to educate us. Ghosts and UFO’s simply are manifestations of spirits (this type is used in scripture in this context to refer to demons/fallen angels).
Evil will redirect you from the Truth of God’s Word and have you focus an anything that is a lie (lie = native tongue of Satan). UFO’s are a means to look to other planets to explain our origins, instead of the Creator. Not a stretch for an intelligent being who is not of God, to produce an image of a spaceship. This sort of deception isn’t a new thing, we see images from thousands of years ago depicting the same thing as seen today. I’ve observed when people are giving testimonies of sightings or obductions, there is an absence of a main theme, the involved party(s) never seem to be followers of Christ. Coincidence?
Ghosts are to get one to look at the paranormal for an explanation. We have all seen where people wish to speak with a departed loved one. The pain and hope of speaking one more time to someone, will get them to try what they think is a legitimate avenue to the afterlife. The séance method is the most common that I’ve encountered. When a person is in the process of contacting the departed loved one, they have a guide/medium. The one seeking will hear the voice of the person departed and even being given a private or secret passcode, to help in validating whether the voice they hear is the actual one they are seeking. If God tells us that the medium conducting the gathering will spend eternity in a Lake of Fire, then it is clear that this medium is not of God.
What is experienced is an actual demon, who has the ability to imitate both observed knowledge of the person and their voice. The secrets given or events known to only the seeker and departed one, is also known to the demon. How do we know this? Our lives are viewed by both the good and evil sides, demons and Angels. That means there is no place or conversation that they aren’t privy to. We have computers that do that today. Once a person is one place or the other there’s no coming back to haunt or roam the earth.
The bible tells us that Sorcerer’s, diviners or divination (to predict the future), witches and those who practice these arts will have their place in the Lake of Fire/Hell. So, when we see people that claim to have knowledge of the future, in actuality are in contact with a spirit, not God. After giving information to someone, the demon is able to manipulate circumstances to give the appearance of truth to the reading. Keep in mind that the prophecies in the Bible are of God and not of private interpretations, so these are legitimate and have evidence. Whereas the mediums are following the god of this world.
The reader needs to know that there are only two choices in the afterlife, that must be determined prior to death. These choices are mapped out in the Bible. You either receive direction from God (Bible) or the one who will spend an eternity in a lake of fire (Satan and anyone not of God).
On the issue of ghosts, we are told in Hebrews 9:27 that it is appointed once for one to die and then there is the Judgement. Below shows the chasm between hell and heaven that can’t be crossed.
We know from Scripture that those who have died cannot come back (Luke 16:19-31). “And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us,” (Luke 16:26). So, ghosts are not real people. They are demonic manifestations.
The word “ghost” in Greek is phantasma.
φάντασμα phántasma; gen. phantásmatos, neut. noun from phantázō (5324), to make to appear. An apparition, a specter, a spirit, or a phantom (Matt. 14:26; Mark 6:49).1
*It should be noted that there are many “guides” who are actually con artists who have perfected the art of deception, rather than actually having interactions with the “spirit world”. Regardless, the main ingredient is still a lie being spoken and thus still the language of Satan.
To wrap up, getting involved with or just experimenting with mediums, witchcraft (black & white path are from the same root), Ouija boards, palm reading and the like are all from the same source of deception to distract us from the Truth.
