     Was Jesus married and what about original sin of Adam?

 

I have heard through the years about how some believe that Jesus was married and had kids, this is from Gnosticism (a belief that mixes truth with non-truth which is a direct contradiction with  the bible) and not from the Christian bible.

Instead of just making a statement I’ve been led to show proof that Jesus, Who is God did not have kids or get married.

 

  1. The Bible refers to the church (all born again believer’s) as His Bride or the Bride of Christ. Never an individual. It would have been recorded if Jesus/God had been married.
  2. Jesus, Who is the Creator would have been in a marital union with His creation. Not only that, but this union would’ve been with a person that had a fallen sinful nature.
  3. The bible NEVER mentions or even hints that Jesus was romantically interested or involved.
  4. The Bible is clear that there is no marriage in heaven so, Jesus knowing He was going to be back there 40 days after His resurrection would’ve left a widow on purpose. This doesn’t make sense, knowing Jesus’s Love.
  5. Jesus states that He is the head of the Church (all saved persons). The Human husband is the head of the wife. The Marriage of one man and one woman is the example. The Husband representing Jesus, the wife the Church.  If Jesus had gotten married the bible would’ve spoken on it, because of the significance alone, along with many other reasons. Not to mention if Jesus is the head of the entire body of the church, this would elevate His wife to queen or a deity. There are no other Gods or gods according to Isaiah.
  6. If Jesus was to have had kids, they like Him would have been born without original sin, due to the father not having passed this trait down. This is referred to as the sin of Adam, which is passed from the father (not the mother) to the children.  This would cause a problem because Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” would apply to everyone except His kids.  Thus, also making them a form of demi-gods.  God the Holy Spirit is the one that supernaturally provided the 23 chromosomes needed to complete the 46, necessary to create life in the virgin’s womb.  Jesus was an is 100% God and 100% man (Hypostatic Union)
  7. Since God the Holy Spirit provided what was needed, the trait of original sin was absent, because if Jesus had an earthly father and the trait passed to Him, He would’ve had to died for His own sin.

To say that Jesus is less than God or to imply that He married is against the Word of God and therefore a different gospel.  This violates Galatians 1:8-9 and Revelation 22:17-19.

Point to ponder:

If you’re placing your eternal trust in a married Jesus who isn’t the Creator, then you have a different gospel. Belief in any other gospel will place you into a lake of fire, whether you choose to believe it or not.
